Objective Of Programs
The objective of the Pop-Up Rally program is to provide participants with an engaging, hands-on learning experience that combines technical skills, creativity, and teamwork. Through a series of interactive sessions, participants of all skill levels and learning styles will:
Develop Technical Skills:
Learn the mechanics of radio-controlled (R/C) vehicles, basic construction, and design principles. Participants will use various materials and hand tools to build and repair vehicles, assemble new projects, and design racecourse obstacles.
Foster Collaboration:
Work as a team to design, layout, and set up portable racecourses in diverse locations such as schoolyards, parks, and parking lots, encouraging communication and problem-solving.
Enhance Confidence and Curiosity:
Engage in a safe, experimental space where risk-taking is encouraged, fostering curiosity, resilience, and confidence.
Connect with the Community:
Culminate the program with a public Pop-Up Rally event where participants showcase their skills, guide community members through R/C challenges, and facilitate conversations about their learning journey.
Bridge Education and Industry:
Create opportunities for participants to network with local businesses during events, building potential pathways for internships, mentorships, and future careers.
Broader Goals:
The Pop-Up Rally program leverages the collective enthusiasm for R/C hobbying to inspire participants to explore trade-related skills while building critical hard and soft skills necessary for workplace and life success.
Through the support of sponsors and community partnerships, the program aims to remain accessible to all youth, ensuring inclusivity and sustainability.
